Meeting of the Technological Development Center Partners in Historic Mayerhoff Confirmed a Unified Vision for the Project
Development Center (TDC) took place in the historic Mayerhoff building in Banská Štiavnica. The venue, renowned for its cultural heritage and distinctive atmosphere, provided an exceptional setting for the discussion.
The meeting was attended by representatives of MASAM, MASAM R&D, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology of the Slovak University of Technology (MTF STU), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics STU (FEI STU), the Faculty of Management of Comenius University Bratislava (FM UK BA), as well as representatives of the Piquera sports organisation & Dr. Eva Piatriková, specialising in sports physiology, applied diagnostics and performance science.
The discussions were conducted in an exceptionally constructive atmosphere, characterised by expert dialogue, exchange of perspectives and a shared long-term vision. The programme also included a working lunch, which created space for open conversation and deeper mutual understanding. During this informal part of the meeting, partners reaffirmed that the TVC project is perceived as a clear and common pathway — not merely a conceptual proposal.
The partners agreed that TVC will serve as a unique platform connecting:
- technological research and industrial practice,
- the university environment, education and talent development,
- management disciplines and strategic leadership,
- sports science, physiology and performance diagnostics,
- applied innovations with significant impact on the region and Slovakia as a whole.
The discussion further confirmed that strengthening the link between industry and academia is a strategic factor in developing future experts, modern technologies and a competitive industrial environment. The partners expressed strong interest in active involvement across the TVC’s thematic areas.
TVC now enters the next phase – the phase of active development and process establishment. The following steps will include the creation of specialised working groups, the definition of initial pilot projects, and the preparation of a framework Memorandum of Understanding. This stage will significantly shape the final form of the center and set the long-term foundations for its operation.
The meeting in historic Mayerhoff clearly demonstrated the partners’ determination to jointly create a modern interdisciplinary center that will have a meaningful impact on research, technology, sports science and regional development.
