TOROIDAL END MILLS

Toroidal end mills represent a universal and highly efficient solution for precise and stable machining of a wide range of materials. Thanks to their optimized geometry with four cutting edges, two of which cut through the center of the tool, they enable reliable machining even in more demanding operations, including plunging and ramping applications.

The helical geometry with a 30° helix angle ensures smooth cutting, efficient chip evacuation, and stable tool performance during machining. The combination of λ 30° and γ 4° contributes to an optimized cutting process and long tool life.

The end mills are equipped with a plain shank according to DIN 6535 HA, ensuring reliable and precise clamping in the tool holder. Upon request, the tools can also be supplied with a Weldon flat or with neck relief for improved accessibility in the machining area.

The AlCrN coating provides high resistance to wear and thermal load, significantly extending tool life and enabling efficient machining even under higher cutting conditions.

Toroidal end mills are primarily intended for machining steels, cast iron, and stainless steels up to approximately 65 HRC, with optimum working conditions achieved in materials up to 55 HRC.
