The long-standing cooperation between MASAM and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava (MTF STU), is now being strengthened on an official level.

On April 11, 2025, a framework agreement on mutual cooperation was ceremonially signed at the university premises between the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the companies MASAM, s.r.o. and MASAM R&D, s.r.o. The agreement was signed on behalf of MASAM by the company’s CEO Milan Mandák, and on behalf of the academic institution by the Rector of STU Oliver Moravčík. The event was also attended by the Dean of MTF STU Miloš Čambál, Director of the Institute of Production Technologies at MTF STU Ivan Buranský, and Head of MASAM R&D Rudolf Zaujec.

The contracting parties agreed to closely cooperate in the fields of research, education, and practice, with the aim of supporting joint activities in science, education, and innovation. The collaboration will also enable STU students and staff to gain hands-on experience by actively participating in professional activities within MASAM. The goal is to build a bridge between academic knowledge and its real-world application in industrial practice.

As a co-organizer, MASAM also took part in the Cutting Tools 2024 international conference, which was held at MTF STU in Trnava. The event focused on current trends in cutting tool production and Industry 4.0.

Supporting technical education and linking it with practical experience has long been a key priority for MASAM. This partnership with MTF STU is a natural step forward in fostering innovation and investing in the future of mechanical engineering.
